We’re actually going to a real pumpkin patch this week. It will be Cooper’s FIRST field trip!
To say I’m excited is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I’ve always LOVED field trips!

Trips to the pumpkin patch are so much fun (er… as I recall, it’s been a while) I need to find one around here to visit!
Fun! I miss the huge bright orange pumpkins-they (basically) only have green ones here-which are just buttercup squash as far as I know. Kobucha, it is called. Delicious, to be sure. But not bright orange and huge. Also, they don’t carve pumpkins-they paint them. Halloween is huge here. Parties, but no trick’r’treating.

Nice! Can’t tell you how excited I was when my 19-year old daughter asked if we could go on the hayride to the pumpkin patch at the local farm!! She has turned up her nose to that activity since she was 12!! Oh happy day, teenagers DO become human again!!

oh tracy. i am a teacher and my class took a field trip to a pumpkin farm today in 60 mph winds, rain, and frigid cold. i imagine a california pumpkin farm is a safer bet than a chicago pumpkin farm this time of year, but i hope cooper has a better time than my poor kiddos did…though i think they secretly loved going back to school covered in mud.
oh wow! bless you! we went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and it was FOGGY! Kinda cool though (and no mud!). He had a great time. I’ll post pictures soon!
Awww, he’s getting so big! My niece poses for a picture with the pumpkins every time she sees them at the store. Usually she’s wearing a princess dress, so they look like totally intentional Halloween photos.
