As usual I love these list and I also love Jessica beauty post! She amazes me!!
    Have a great weekend!

  • Katy @ Katy's Kitchen

That article on freezing fruits and veggies was so helpful!

  • erica

i tried the one pot pasta last week. It was just ok. but im REALLY picky when it comes to tomato sauce. im italian!

  • Cho

My significant other made the one pot pasta last night. We added bell pepper and the flavor was great! If he can make it, any one can make it.

  • Emily

Tracy, I haven’t tried that one pot pasta but I had pinned the same recipe from Budget Bytes about two minutes before reading this post. I think it looks delicious and definitely worth trying!

Side note on San Francisco, my husband and I stopped in San Francisco for a night on our honeymoon and saw someone get mugged about two feet away from us. Like punched in the face multiple times, shopping bag stolen. I don’t have hard feelings for the city, but I doubt I’ll ever get my husband to go back. We were trying to walk from our hotel to Fisherman’s Wharf, and I suspect we were in that sketchy area described in the article.

  • Megan

Yay! Thanks for the picnic love.

  • Bridget

I made that same recipe for One Pot Pasta last night and it was amazeballs. Even my picky toddler ate it, so I’m calling that a success and putting it into the regular dinner rotation.

  • Sini

Oh that song. Can’t get it out of my head.

It seems like there are edible flower posts everywhere right now. I guess summer has finally arrived. Have you seen this post by Linda from Call me Cupcake? http://call-me-cupcake.blogspot.fi/2013/05/lilac-sugar.html

  • Jen

Made the one pot pasta last week and really enjoyed it! Used Trader Joe’s hearty veggie broth and added soft crumbled goat cheese + kalamata olives. Great weeknight meal!

  • Susan

I have not done that one pot pasta at all. but I have made Dorie Greenspan’s Pasta Risotto which is a one pot pasta type of dish. THe pasta is cooked in broth. It’s delicious as a side dish and you can add additional ingredients at the end to make it a main dish.

You MUST try the One Dish Pasta – it is a revelation!

  • tara

Hahah I love that teacher one! Hilarious! The picnic looks delicious! The acting info by Mara Wilson was really fascinating. I never even thought about it much. Very interesting.

  • Talia

I love your lists and look forward to them each week.

Thank you for the pizza dough recipe. I’ve hunted and hunted for an easy, no fail recipe and this sure fits the bill! This is on my “MUST MAKE” list for the weekend. I am going to try my hand at grilling it – fingers crossed!

    Happy Weekend!

  • Kate

The SF list is dead-on, especially the bikes graphic 😀 Love the tips on freezing produce. I will freeze and pesto anything!

  • Julie

I love all this feedback on the one-pot pasta wonder… I pinned it, too, and have been intrigued.

P.S. Thanks for the link back to your waffles… I’m OBSESSED! 🙂

  • fusilliamy

Tracy, when you said this song was your jam I was SOOO hoping it was Get Lucky. Forever on repeat! Can’t stop/Won’t stop!

  • Alisa

We had the One Pot Pasta for dinner the other night and it is awesome! It even worked with my gluten free noodles. Definitely worth trying.

  • Cristina

Equally intrigued by the one pot pasta.

I love your lists, by the way.

  • Robin O.

Tracy, If you love that parsley pesto switch it up and try it this way: use walnuts instead of almonds and feta instead of parm, add some lemon zest and use extra virgin with plenty of cracked black pepper and a little coarse salt. You will love it!!!!

    • Tracy

I almost always use walnuts for my pesto! But feta?! I must try this. I almost always have feta at my disposal.

  • Heather

Loved number three….it’s what I do, and try to work against it

  • Emily

I also made the One Pot Pasta for dinner tonight and thought it was fantastic! My favorite part is that my house now smells like basil. Yum!

  • Kalin

I just made the One Pot Pasta meal last night. It was amazing! I used spinach linguine, which gave the dish extra creaminess and a little added fiber. I also topped it with a fresh tomato-basil bruchscetta mix with parmesan cheese. So good! Definitely a go-to meal for me now! Thanks for sharing!

  • Jamie

I made the one pot pasta last week and wasn’t super impressed. I think my expectations were too high. I would suggest less oil at the end than she recommends. I think 2 TB made it too oily and heavy. It’s an interesting technique, though!

  • Jessica

Yes to Daft Punk!!! Can’t stop/won’t stop.

    Also, that picnic! Love!

  • Flora Margaret

Hey lady, I’m posting this on my blog today, but thought I would share it with you here– Sooooooul Train dancers set to Daft Punk “Lucky”! I call being the woman in the orange extra bell bottom flowing pants– I call her hair, her clothes and her moves. Which one do you call being?!
