OUTFITTING: Tunic Time

OUTFITTING // TUNIC TIME

 

I’ve become a fan of tunics in the past few years and let me tell you why! They’re comfy and they cover you up!! If you’ve eaten too much during the holidays (ahem, ME) you can unbutton your pants and NO ONE WILL KNOW. Also…if you’re not sure your pants or leggings are making you’re rear-end look big, NO WORRIES. You’re covered. Lastly, drape-y fabric makes me think I’m wearing pajamas and really I just want to wear pajamas in some form all day/everyday.  So, let’s celebrate the TUNIC. They’re GREAT with leggings & boots and flats and maybe even a long flowy maxi skirt!

I think it’s funny that I gravitate towards black & blue. Can’t stop/Won’t stop.

    They’re also the perfect top for the postpartum period when you’re sick of maternity clothes but can’t fit into your “regular” stuff yet. 😉 It’s hard to pick a favorite from all of those, but I really like 6 and 7!

    I think we might be long lost fashion twins. If you look at my closet you see nothing but black and blue (and any other color is always a super saturated jewel tone). Oh….and the striped sweaters. It’s an addiction/obsession. Gotta love it.

    I don’t love the tunics – they always make me feel like I look pregnant. But I do LOVE LOVE LOVE ModCloth! They have the BEST dresses and fantastic customer service!

    Here is my wish: I wish for Tracy to be my stylist and she could bring me cute outfits with tunics and such and then we’d both look fabulous and eat many-a-pumpkin flavored confections (it IS fall after all!)
    Ok, putting my weirdo-ness aside, great picks! Love your style! I noticed you tend to pick ModCloth items, never used them before!

      I like that wish!! I really like ModCloth because I think their designs are fun and different. Definitely not cookie cutter and I think they’re pretty reasonable too!

    love these! i am newly pregnant and realizing i’m going to be wearing a lot of tunics now when my belly is at this awkward is she gaining weight or pregnant stage, and later after the baby comes. thank you for these ideas! 🙂

    these are great because they’re tunics but they still have shape! i keep finding tunics that are just too baggy, i still want a bit of structure but forgiveness too.

    I just went for it and got the puppy tunic and the fireside plaid top from last week. So reasonably priced and getting me excited for fall fashions! Great eye, girl.

    I’m all about a tunic + skinny jeans. Not only do they cover all my questionable bits…I think they are super chic. I’m loving that Busy Week tunic in both colors!
