Prickly Pear Cocktail

Prickly Pear Cocktail // shutterbean

Dear Monday,

Hey. Could I ask you a favor? Could you please be gentle? Is that too much to ask? Please let this day be full of wins and not battles.  If you do not pull through for me today, I DO have this bourbon & pear cocktail sweetened with honey to fall back on. Perhaps the effervescence of the ginger ale might life my spirits if you do not pull through?

Since you almost always disappoint, I might just succumb to popcorn for dinner. Wait…that doesn’t sound half bad. Anyways…carry on Monday, carry on…

Yours Begrudgingly,

Tracy Shutterbean

Let’s get started! First of all, this cocktail doesn’t require prickly pear.

I believe the recipe is called a prickly pear because the lime & ginger ale mixed with the pear & bourbon make it feel that way.

Prickly! Bubbly! Good! BOURBON.

We muddle the pear with honey & lime juice. We’re making a thick juicy syrup!

All good things start with bourbon.

Bourbon goes into the mixture.  Add ice on top.

Put the lid on your cocktail shaker. Shake your groove thing.
