That quote by Gordon B. Hinkley is one of my absolute faves! Another strong contender: “Work without vision is drudgery. Vision without work is dreaming. Work plus vision-this is destiny.”

I’m from Utah and not LDS, but have many Mormon friends and family members. That quote from Gordon B. Hinckley is really interesting. For those who don’t know, he was the president of the Mormon church from 1995 to 2008 (had to check on those dates) and extremely well loved. “Endure to the end” is an expression you’ll hear frequently in the Mormon church, and see on various wall hangings and decorations in people’s homes. I believe it’s from scripture. So to have him say, “Life is to be enjoyed, not endured” seems to have an extra bit of meaning. I’d much rather see that expression decorating a home.

Gosh I love Mae West – “If a little is great, and a lot is better, then way too much is just about right!”
She must have been talking about ice cream, right?

Ohhh my that Jim Collins quote is the best thing I have read in awhile. People at work (like, management people at work) have started saying ‘The enemy of the good is the perfect,’ which I really totally hate. Jim Collins is like the antidote 🙂
Any chance you’d make these available as desktop wallpapers? Would love to have that on my screen at work!
