Dip a strawberry into cream cheese (room temperature works best) and dunk it into a small bowl of brown sugar. Look at you! You’re on your way to makeshift strawberry cheesecake-land. Now let’s add a graham cracker (or crumbs?!) to this this situation and maybe a drizzle of nutella? Mind blown. You just created a perfect snack/dessert!
Strawberries+Cream Cheese+Brown Sugar
I love this idea, and I love that you suggested adding some Nutella because, well, Nutella!
If only I had not eaten the whole container of strawberries on Tuesday. Before I knew it they were all gone
I love the summery theme going on lately on Shutterbean! Such simple, delicious food – perfect for post-exam picnics!

We’ve been doing the sour cream/brown sugar combo for years! It’s great to dip all kinds of fruit in.
Hi Tracy: This is one of my fam’s fave picnic snacks… except we use sour cream instead of cream cheese. I’ll have to try it with cream cheese:) Thanks!

I just wanted to say that I am loving the new snack series. It may be super simple things that half of the world already knows about, but the rest of us were in the dark about them. It makes me want to pack healthy snacks to bring to work to conquer the 3 o’clock snack attack. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to seeing more.

So good! Pioneer Woman does a brown sugar fruit dip that’s insane (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/06/yogurt-cream-and-berries/)
These snack posts are fun! Perfect for weekends around the apartment. I thought of your egg snack and did medium boiled eggs the other day and topped them with a sichuan seasoning blend from Whole Foods. New favorite? I think so.These guys sound so easy and perfect! Like a strawberry cheesecake, but 100% faster and easier. I bet a trayful of these would go really fast at an afternoon tea.
I heard the mention of nutella with those strawberries and I’m thrown back to my high school days 🙂 Hurry up strawberry season!!!
