I love lists, Friday!

A friend of mine who has done a few years of retinal research totally party-pooped all over that article about why people see different numbers of colors. Paraphrasing is hard (see the article on lazy people), so I quote:

“Sorry y’all, there’s almost zero science to support this. There’s surely some variation in color perception due to genetics but there’s no credible research supporting this article. “Professor Derval” has no peer-reviewed publications and in fact her only degree appears to be in business. She’s clearly very good at marketing. Let’s remember to check our facts before we turn into Jenny McCarthys, yes?”

Nevertheless, what variation exists in color perception is pretty interesting!
