Deep fried big mac, what! Oh, and I don’t have a Searzall…..yet! I totally want one now! Okay, and my sister and I were just talking about how we apologize way too much. Great list!

  • Taylor @ Food Faith Fitness

I had no idea what I was going to do with my Friday, until this list.
Now I can click on ALL the things and read ALL the things. thank for providing me with weekend amusement! 😉

  • Shawna

You should totally do purple! I put purple in my daughter’s hair for 8th grade graduation and it turned out gorgeous. I just bought this stuff called Splat at CVS (they have it at Target too but CVS carries all the colors) and we didn’t even bleach it, just put it on her brown hair. Wish I could post a picture here because it looks so good – super rich purple. And it’s fading in this cool way – lots of different shades of purple going on there.

    Hi Tracy-
The Storage Roundup is a dead link I think . . . ? Or maybe I just can’t open it.

  • Jenna Ericson

Honestly, real talk, I look forward to this post every week. It’s always well curated.

  • Erica B

That male vs. female brain link… I’m with you. I pack a cooler like a BOSS. And clearly #soproud haha

tracy, i was wondering which Vitamix blender you have. i’m thinking about getting one of those too, and i’m looking at the Pro 300, but i was wondering if it’s strong enough for hummus and nut butters. or if i should go for the Professional 750 (but just eeeeeven more expensive…)

    • Tracy

I have the 750- not sure about the 300 though! They are all really powerful!

  • Jenny

You’re going to love your spiralizer! Now that we eat Paleo, I use it just about every night. All the recipes on Inspiralized are good but here’s my favorite go to especially when we have people over. If i’m pressed for time, I’ll cut up a rotisserie chicken: http://brittanyangell.com/paleo-fettuccine-alfredo-glutengraindairy-free-primal/

  • Liz

Ooooh! Spiralizer! I just got one about two months ago and am loving it. One of my favorites is zucchini noodles tossed with cooked shredded chicken, onion, mushroom, and pesto. I’m sure you know about the website Inspiralized, lots of good stuff there. Or making shoestring sweet potato fries (except baked in the oven). I’ve also made rice out of zucchini noodles and sweet potato noodles by pulsing the noodles in a food processor, that’s really good as fried rice or tossed with toppings like bacon and goat cheese. We love spiralized broccoli stems (peel then spiralize, then steam) tossed with a Thai peanut sauce. And zucchini noodles with shrimp scampi is another new favorite. Have fun!

Re: Spiralizer recipes. The ones from White on Rice Couple look like they’d be worth a try. They mainly use zucchini to create zoodles.

Spiralizer: PLANTAIN NOODLES. I like to call them “poodles.” This recipe from Eating Bird Food is a big hit in my house: http://www.eatingbirdfood.com/jerk-shrimp-with-crispy-plantain-noodles/

  • Julia

I am OBSESSED with my Paderno Spiralizer. I make zucchini, put it in a wok and add ground turkey and then when it’s cooked i drizzle balsamic and olive or avocado oil over the top. Delish! I also spiralize sweet potatoes and make curly fries!

  • Kate

Ali at Inspiralized posts some great recipes:

My food packaging gripe is the little tab of tape at the top of coffee bags. Once you open the bag it just gets in the way and grounds get stuck to it, which is messy and upsets me 🙂

  • Bonnie Sanders

Hi Tracy! I always look forward to your list on Friday! I especially loved the video you shared today This Barber Gives Free Haircuts. That was very heart warming. Thanks!

  • Caitlin

I have naturally super dark brown hair, almost black, and have NEVER dyed it in any way, but I’ve been thinking of finally mixing it up with some highlights. funnily enough, I was also thinking purple, but I’m scared! and would be annoyed if I went through all that and it barely showed.. but might try having the layer underneath dyed so it’s not crazily bold. you are helping my decision-making process along with that link!

  • Erin

The searzall is amazeballs! I got it for my husband for his birthday and we use it for everything. I could live off seared fresh mozzarella. Plus it’s fun!

  • Emily @ Life on Food

I am debating hard about getting a spiralizer. I cannot wait to see what you make.

  • Sarah Jayne

I got that spiralizer last week and have been making sweet potato curly fries. Sorry not sorry 🙂

  • Abby

    Then/Now… Loved. It. <3

  • Kristy

I just bought a spiralizer, but everytime I make zucchini noodles (ZOODLES!) they get super watery! any thoughts on preventing this?
    xo

    • Tracy

Zucchini has a really high water content- sometimes people salt it and let it drain on paper towels before cooking.
