Here’s what My Everyday Life- Week 28 of 2016 looked like:
Make a really big wish.
It’s golden here in CA. This is the season when I try to hike as much as possible.
This week I went on three big hikes.
The point where one neighbor liked a certain red.
This is Joe. I walk by his house a lot but I only just met him. I’ve always admired his hat collection and how he lines up his tools. It reminds me of my grandfather and how organized he was. I saw him pruning his hedges (also immaculate) and I went up to him and told him how much I appreciated his organizing skills and he gave me a tour of his hat rack!
Bank errands.
A little kitty in my kitchen named Annie.
Golden….
MINE.
We spent almost a whole day cleaning out Cooper’s closet during Shutterbean Camp this week.
I’m so excited to say that Cooper is STILL keeping it clean.
Rosie hung out with us the whole time and gave us emotional support.
Mew.
Jurnal.
Little purple flowers hidden in the dry grass.
Don’t you even.
One of my favorite arrangements on our deck.
Rosie. I’ve been calling her RO RO.
Ro ro getting her glamour shots.
DATE NIGHT!!!!
Beet salad.
We ended up going on an impromptu bar crawl (to 4 bars!) and then we walked home.
Felt like we were in our 20s again….except the next day didn’t feel that way….
My camera took this picture of us while we were walking.
A pretty pocket photo. Can you see me?
Here’s a deliberate photo. Ahem. Gin.
Cooper made me toast 🙂
Shrimp fajitas for One Potato
Another hike.
This one was later in the day.
With my friend Kris.
The golden outlines caught my eye.
Goodbye sun.
This is from another hike.
With my friend Amy. Great girl talk.
Throwing stones in creeks.
Making another reality.
Smoothie bowls are perfect for Summer dinners.
GIMME GIMME GIMME.
I love peach season.
I also love eating breakfast outside. This one was special because my niece was with us.
I can never keep this table clear.
Buns!
Fried Zucchini from The Slider Effect Cookbook. They’re super good!
I went to Jon’s demo at Williams-Sonoma this weekend! So nice to finally meet him!
