I did an Instagram live this week of painting with ink & watercolors. It was fun.

I’ll have to let you know when I do another one. I just do it randomly because that’s how my brain operates.

This week’s main event was going to the In Good Company conference!

The woman next to me was writing notes on an iPad Pro (OMG need).

She let me play with it and then showed me this amazing illustration her daughter made.

I suppose this is the stuff that Cooper will do when tech completely takes over?

I did a demo at the event! I made Tomato Parlsey Bloody Marys in partnership with Muir Glen.

Their  Organic Diced tomatoes were the base of these bloody marys. If you don’t have tomato juice, you can make bloody marys with a blender and canned tomatoes. Boom!

We got rid of a dead tree this week. It has brought more light into our lives and I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT. Out with the old, make room for new.

Tracy, I LOVE your September reflection pages! I especially love your sunflower. I want a tattoo like that, lol.

Also, thank you for sharing your old journal pages! Isn’t it interesting to go back and see how our younger selves used to think? And so creative to write at an angle like that… if I tried to do that it would never have stayed nice and straight like yours. I need lines or I inevitably drift, lol.

    • Tracy

I am so glad that I thought to journal when I was younger. It’s a real treat!

Poor Ella! I also have a cat with IBS, and she does not pee in the litterbox either. I assume she associates her pain of going to the litterbox/IBS with it, and pees at a ‘safe’/comfortable place. Since cats love bowls or baskets, I bought 2 very large plastic bowls (normally used for carrying laundry, but they have no holes, they are just wide and relatively low, easy to step into), and line them with old bath towels. So she goes in there, and I just need to wash the towels, which is easier than cleaning the carpet all the time. My other cat actually sits in the bowls with the clean bath towel and thinks it’s a cool hangout place. I guess it is. My IBS cat has been using those bowls now for over 7 years, and we continue to be friends 😉

Good to know! Thanks for the tips. She’s such a complicated little lady!

One cat started collecting pieces of paper from the trash to pee on and cover up in one area (will not tell you how long it took for me to notice, her pile had gotten pretty high). She was stressed out due to being under house arrest way too long (we have catproof fencing but she had discovered escape routes, now secured). My sanity was saved by buying loads of puppy piddle pads and putting two in that area (one to pee
on and one to cover up with, since she’s a cat and not a dog). Made cleanup much easier for both of us. She took a while to get back to the litterbox even after released from house arrest, even with the splendid example of her foster father who was extremely attached to all the litter boxes.

So if Ella has favorite spots on the carpet, good piddle pads might help.

  • Jere

Oh Ella Ella…escaping and peeing. This is not good for your image. As President of your fan club I shall advise your humans to start an intensive LOVE fest..surely you are seeking more attention. So stop your bad bad habits and start jumping in laps. rubbing heads and purring more loudly. I expect good reports…and for petes sake use the kitty litter box. I do not like seeing a photo of you behind a gate all alone!
    Love President Jere

Ha I love the picture of the grocery lists. I lost page two of my small list today and haven’t found it yet. It would be great for stores to have a Lost List bin. I managed to recreate what I thought I’d written on the lost list!

    • Tracy

I would rade that lost bin for lists!

    • jwoolman

This is why I use Notes on my phone for grocery lists… I lose bits of paper. Having a Grocery note set up gives me a place to put other notes to myself about what card has a special grocery rebate running, what things to price check, coupons and specials. Oh, and the list of what to buy when I get to the store… Since the phone is always in my pocket, I can update it any time.
