My paperwhite kindle. I took it on vacation with me this week and I’ve been up late at night reading while everyone else is snoring.

Have you ever scrolled through the new items at Trader Joe’s?  Tell me if you’ve tried that falafel mix.

On my trip, I’ve been enjoying these refillable brush pens! It means I don’t have to lug around a jar of water and constantly rinse it out!

These bags have been a savior on my trip (and any trip for that matter!).

I’ve been consuming a scoop of collagen powder a day (either in my morning coffee or in a smoothie) to help my hair grow faster. I’ve been using it in concert with all sorts of other stuff (hair/skin/nail vitamins, castor oil scalp massages), so I don’t know if it’s doing anything on its own, but it certainly doesn’t hurt…

I also got Virgo on that interior design quiz, which interests me because my fiance is a virgo and the description sounds just like him (I’m a gemini).

The dementia and sports article is really interesting. I spend a lot of time with my father who is in a memory care facility. He’s always been a Chicago Cubs fan. In fact he and my mom saw a game on their honeymoon. My husband and I share season tickets with 3 other couples, so I am obviously a fan too. Some of my favorite childhood memories involve sitting on dad’s lap watching a game.

My dad and I talk Cubs alot when I visit him. However with his dementia he doesn’t really know the current team. But he can talk a lot about the Cubs of his youth. So I have learned a lot about his favorite player, Phil Cavaretta, as well as players like Charlie Grimm and Stan Hack. The funny thing is my husband came with me one day and had a Cubs coat on. My father called him Phil. When I looked at a picture later, I saw there was a definite resemblance.

Any way to connect with people who have dementia is good. Even if it means visiting the past. It’s amazing what you can learn and how well they can communicate about things from that time. I’ve also learned more about the time my father spent in Italy as part of the occupation forces after WWII.

I got Pisces – not too far off from my real sign, Aries.

Love the refillable brush pens! This is my favorite thing to pair them with -https://www.vivivacolors.com/. So much better than the old days where you had to travel with a whole box of things.

Traveler’s Notebooks – at Plannercon this year (seriously, why are you not going to this?) I attended a Hobinichi class and discovered these Instagrammers -https://www.instagram.com/penri23/, https://www.instagram.com/danweitran/, https://www.instagram.com/rainbowholic/

No tattoos I regret yet, and I’m 30 and on my sixth. Funnily, I just got my first one that DIDN’T mean anything—I just like how it looks—and I think it may be my favorite one yet. A small yellow flower on the front of my left shoulder.
