Here’s what this past week looked like – My Everyday Life Week 46
This week we’ve been stuck indoors because the smoke from the fires has made it unbearable to be outside.
My throat has been irritated by it.
So, we spent a lot of time laying low at home.
That means I’ve done some baking.
Hippie Banana Bread turned into muffins! Took about 20 minutes in the oven at 350F.
Made 12.
We accomplished a lot around the house while we were here.
I’m most excited that my closet looks a lot like this again.
The cats have been unaffected.
I put some art up in my kitchen.
Been drinking lemon ginger elixir to help my throat.
Dropped off donations at Salvation Army. Checked out the goods.
I have a whole folder on my phone of coffee mug wisdom.
Here’s my latest addition:
Organizing my brain while eating a sandwich.
I did some work in the library this week. It’s the best way to get a bunch of writing work done!
I love that they have a seed library!
I think I’ll check some out sometime.
Fancy ramen. Much like this one but no salmon.
Check out this time machine.
Cookies for a school function but then school was canceled.
We’ve been eating oatmeal raisin cookies for days.
Burrito bowls for the win.
I cook. He cleans.
Stuck inside art!! This went from this…
To this!
I haven’t painted in a long time. Maybe months!!! And I was getting really frustrated with my session but then I made this. Abandoned it and then came back 20 minutes later with a black pen to enhance. Sometimes stepping out of the situation and revisiting things helps- in art and in life.
We’ve had a lot of good couch snuggles this week.
What Cooper says instead of the F word.
Boop.
When everything looks foggy but it’s really just smoke.
Brunch with Madeleine at the Dipsea.
I read that spirits can communicate through water.
This bathtub was her bathtub for many many years, so being in it definitely reminds me of her.
A year ago this week, she was alive. It would be her last week on Earth.
Making this area of our house look pretty with all of our sentimental treasures.
I miss blue skies and regular afternoon light. The yellow filter on everything is so bizarre.
