Currently October 2021
October was equally fun as it was stressful and overwhelming. Going through the ups and downs with insurance and mammograms and biopsy, wiped me out emotionally. On the bright side, I was able to do a lot of art with friends, read a book, participated in a virtual book club. I also got a physical and bloodwork was done so HOORAY for not putting things off.
In October, I participated in a drawing challenge- #theydrawandcook
31 days of food-related prompts! I used part of the template from my monthly calendar (cut it out to make a grid!) and drew a small 1-inch square drawing every day. I LOVED IT! It kept me thinking about all of the foods we eat this time of year.
It also reminded me how much I love making art a daily practice.

The rundown!

I like looking back at my yard in these currently posts. Front yard in October!

Dream Life:
I think I got some of my lucid dreaming skills back this month. It’s been a while! I really need to keep a journal next to my bed to write them down when I wake up. I end up with a lot of deja vu throughout the day because of my dreams. I think my Mom was in one of my dreams too. Someone morphed into her while I was talking to them and I remember being WHOA YOU’RE MOM NOW! I wish I could remember who that someone was.
Eating/Drinking:
Vanilla Almond Milk Tea is my new favorite thing.
A can of refried beans can/does save the day! Comfort food!
Shared my new favorite Meal Prep recipe- Artichoke Egg Bites
Hippy Pumpkin Bread is another meal prep staple!
They are great as muffins too!
Cooper ordered some cinnamon swirl pancakes when we went out to breakfast as a family this month and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since.
Went out for drinks! First time at a bar in A VERY LONG TIME!!!
Turned my baked apples recipe into a crisp. It was delicious!
I also got back in the mix with #shutterbeanmealprep
Grateful For:
