Blueberry Limeade was a great way for me to clean out the fridge last week! I got a little carried away buying blueberries on sale and wanted something to do with them that wouldn’t require too much effort.
Dun dun dun. Blueberry limeade came to be! I also had a few limes to use up too…
This batch didn’t last long in my house! I had some with sparkling water and Casey used the rest in some gin-based cocktails. Now that I know limeade is just a blender blitz away, there will most certainly be more batches in the future.
Here are the ingredients!
First we juice the limes.
Then we mix it all in a blender. I used our nutribullet with half of the water.
Blitzed it up, added more water to the batch, and strained it!
See all of the seeds I got rid of?
Now we are ready to serve it up.
I enjoyed it with a splash of sparkling water.
I can’t wait to experiment with strawberries! If you are a fan of limeade and cilantro, you might like my cilantro limeade recipe! Oh! I also forgot I have made Spicy Cucumber Limeade too!
makes about 4 cups
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup lime juice (about 6 limes)
- 3 1/2 cups water
Blend blueberries, sugar, lime juice, and water until well combined. Strain the mixture with a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds. Stir before serving over ice.
