Never thought to eat PB & butter together cold, but the best toast ever features salted butter, peanut butter, cinnamon, & honey.

  • Cori

That cake looks so good! Have you made it gluten free yet?

  • Michelle

My mom used to serve us peanut butter & butter sandwiches! (Though it was the early 80s so it was likely margarine rather than actual butter.) I’d completely forgotten about that.

Sometimes she’d plop some marshmallows on the butter side and serve it either room temp (chewy) or melted in the microwave (more fluffernutter-like).

I was shocked the first time I realized that not every kid was familiar with the peanut butter-butter-marshmallow sandwich. In fact, my brother and I seemed to be the only kids familiar with it in our school!
