Intentions for the Week:

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Intentions for the Week – Week 19 of 2020

Happy Monday, friends!

Another week of sheltering in place. We are on day 54 of being at home. Toilet paper supply is dwindling. My house is a mess because I haven’t been able to move (back pain!) much to clean it. We spent the weekend watching more of the Hunger Games series. My brother & sister-in-law came to visit and we spent 6+ feet away from each other on my deck.  THIS LIFE IS SO WEIRD.  It’s time to sit down and figure out what my Intentions for the Week are.  Let’s focus on the things we can control in a time when we feel like we can’t control ANYTHING!

Intentions for the Week- Week 18 of 2020

Happy Monday, friends!

We’re starting a new week. Cooper’s got school. Husband and I both working from home and managing it all together. We’ve been sheltering in place for 47 days.  I’m starting to figure out a schedule somewhat. It was really hard for me to figure out how to shop and cook with all the restrictions we have. I’m used to going to the grocery store more often so it’s been interesting trying to buy enough food for over a week and have it not cost too much because our budget is tight right now. Also, how do I keep up my blog/sharing new recipes when things are kind of hard to come by and they probably will be for a while…and maybe it will get worse?  The trickiest part has been fresh produce…so I am thinking about doing some type of CSA pickup. Researching that right now. How’s everything where you are? WHEW.

I did some meal prep yesterday. THANK HEAVENS FOR A CLEAN FRIDGE. Casey cleaned the kitchen yesterday morning and it freed up the mental space for me to do the fridge. One of my intentions this week is to keep it more organized. Wish me luck. Let’s sit down and make a list to get out our Intentions this Week, shall we?

My Everyday Life Week 17

Here’s what this past week looked like: My Everyday Life Week 17

Feeling thankful for friends who sew! Thank you, Erin for giving me a comfortable mask!

Rainbows while dishwashing.

Shooting & styling my husband’s cocktails during the quarantine.  It’s been a fun project to work on together. We’ve been working our way through the Smuggler’s Cove recipe book.

Straws as chopsticks.

Cooper has a few fake 100 dollar bills and he likes to hide them around the house and it always gives me such false hope.  I found one in a book as a bookmark and got so mad!

Made pulled pork sandwiches and carnival slaw.

They were good.

Ripped this area up and am redoing things.

Spending time stretching outside in the morning before school starts for Cooper.

Snoozles.

So close together!

Boop.

Me in kindergarten.

Making a list. I start in pencil and then go over in pen.

Golden/happy hour.

Tacos and burrito bowl. I ran out of tortillas so burrito bowl is mine.

He’s growing.

She’s not.

Snail mail from Andrea is my fave.

Watching him color.

Cooper had to do the color wheel in art class. We did it together.

Life is tough for a kitten.

We made bread! This one was a yeasted loaf from Josey Baker Bread (it was amazing).

Keeping it all together with lists.

There’s always a cat waiting for me on my bathroom counter.

Husband sandwich.

I am living off of bread right now.

Under the deck at the house. This reminds me of being a kid… We would play under here when I was young.

I’m really enjoying Golden Turmeric cereal right now. My friend bought it and didn’t like it and gave it to me and I’m kind of obsessed.

I made my own pizza dough with my sourdough starter and made Sausage Bread.

This round I put fresh jalapenos in it and it was amazing.

My hair was getting heavy and annoying so I trimmed it this week.

This is the before…

I used this razor comb on wet hair.

Looks like a bird’s nest.

Pork noodle bowls.

Sausage Bread is dangerous to have in my house.

I eat it cold…

We got donut bombed this week!! It’s like a chain letter but with DONUTS. It’s happening with the kids in Cooper’s class. It was such a nice surprise and it will be fun reciprocating.

Went to Target. Was thinking about my Mom and then saw this book title.

My Mom’s name is Beverly.

Ginger pork over rice for the boys and Avocado with rice and stuff for me.

Morning has broken.

Weekend to-do lists with my favorite pencil.

He’s pretty chill until right before we go to bed.

Facetime with Emma!

Just got this set of garden tools. I love that they’re all black.

Grow baby grow!

Intentions for the Week

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Intentions for the Week – Week 17 of 2020

Happy Monday, friends!

This weekend brought Cooper’s Spring Break to a close. We did some house projects, had zoom meetings with family, I finished up a lettering project and tried hard to rest my back. I’ve been starting my mornings with some deep stretching which seems to help.  I know this won’t last forever, it’s just really annoying right now.  You can really take things like BENDING OVER EASILY for granted. I hope to be able to go for a long walk this week.

School starts again tomorrow so we’ll juggle that while working from home. I like when the days are more structured and school helps (somewhat with that). Our days are so broken up as we figure out a new normal until the end of May. I wonder what Summer is going to look like… Let’s have a moment, make a list and figure out what our Intentions for the Week are.
