All three things I like to eat. Throw some juicy cherries into the mix and now we’re talking!

I froze half of this batch because I didn’t want to have all of them sitting on my kitchen counter…taunting me…and then in the name of research I found out that they’re even better when you eat them frozen. Research, man. RESEARCH.

Corn & Shrimp Chowder

For those chilly Summer nights, make Corn & Shrimp Chowder. Pairs perfectly with grilled garlic bread. Recipe on Shutterbean.com

I suppose every Summer there are a few cold nights thrown into the mix. I like to imagine sitting out on a porch somewhere in New England along the water….eating bowls of this soup with hunks of garlic bread.  I may or may be wrapped in a blanket…sitting in an adirondack chair. Hopefully there’s a foot rest on that chair…I gotta balance soup on my lap. Bugs are not apart of this fantasy.

If you can’t get enough fresh sweet corn this Summer, this Corn & Shrimp Chowder is for you. The soup is light, perfectly chunky with the potatoes and shrimp and if you’re like me, you’ll add a little hot sauce & extra Old Bay Seasoning at the end. That Old Bay is my old bae!

This is another good excuse to have garlic bread on the grill this summer.

Cinnamon Peaches with Cookies & Cream

Cinnamon Peaches with Cookies + Cream // shutterbean

I sliced some peaches the other day…and instead of eating them plain I thought about how much I’d like to have a piece of peach pie.  But alas….no peach pie in sight.  So, I sprinkled cinnamon sugar on top followed by oatmeal cookie pieces and then a dollop of vanilla ice cream (made with coconut milk). Pretty close to pie. Maybe next time I’ll heat the peaches first. You should make Cinnamon Peaches with Cookies & Cream. To see more of my Thursday Snack Ideas, follow my Pinterest Board!

Moscow Mule Popsicles

Combine your favorite cocktail with a popsicle with these Moscow Mule Popsicles! Recipe on Shutterbean.com

Wanna see something hilarious? Watch Oprah make a Moscow Mule (her & my favorite drink). She also does the same lime squeezing trick I do (when no one is looking). Learned that one from Alton Brown. Thanks, buddy.

So we have my/Oprah’s favorite drink here in popsicle form.

I took these pictures in the morning (before I had coffee!) and soooo wanted to finish the batch right there on the spot. I stared at the clock…counted the hours until happy hour and sadly wrapped up the popsicles for later. But here I am…typing this post out…dunking my second Moscow Mule Popsicle into an actual Moscow Mule…watching Oprah clips.  It was worth the wait.

I’m gonna go finish that video now… It took them FOREVER to figure out it was a TWIST OFF.
