Grilled Pineapple w/ Honey Lime Yogurt

Grilled Pineapple with Honey Lime Yogurt // shutterbean

When I was making the Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple skewers,  I threw a few pieces of pineapple on the grill and whipped up this snack so Casey had something to eat while I was busy styling/photographing. Grilled Pineapple with Honey Lime Yogurt is such a wonderful snack. I took a dollop of greek yogurt and drizzled honey on top. A small squeeze of lime and some lime zest really makes the dish. This one is great to have in your arsenal. If you have other things on the grill, pop a few pineapple slices on for future snack attacks!  Oh by the way– I sprayed a little coconut oil on the pineapple so it wouldn’t stick the grill. 😉

Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers

Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers make a fantastic weeknight meal. Cut them up and put them in a taco or serve it over rice. Find the recipe at Shutterbean.com

I had this image of shrimp & pineapple in my brain for a few weeks now. Non-stop shrimp & pineapple images going through this mind of mine. When I took this photo you see above, I was like YAAAAAAAAS. FINALLY.  Food fantasy actualized! Hello, Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers!!!

Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers // shutterbean

I knew that I wanted the shrimp to be kind of spicy….with an Asian/cilantro flavor profile.

And that spicy was going to be balanced with pineapple and honey.

The pineapple would be infused in the marinade so you’d get a nice kick of the lime, jalapeño and garlic with each juicy bite.

Here we are. Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers. I told Casey that I was thinking of putting some of the leftovers in a taco for lunch and he got all sad that he’d have to share leftovers. I know how he feels, man. I get super possessive when it comes to food.

How to Make Kombucha At Home

Ever wonder what's involved in making your own kombucha? Check out the tutorial on Shutterbean.com !

New post: How to Make Kombucha At Home

I started brewing my own kombucha a few months ago and was instantly hooked. Considering that a bottle of kombucha goes for about $4 in my hometown, I’ve saved quite a few dollars and I’ve been able to enjoy a bottle of kombucha almost every single day of the week. A lot of readers have asked how I do it, so I thought I’d show you! I’m by no means an expert, but I’d like to show you how easy it is and how you shouldn’t be intimidated by the process.

DIY Kombucha // shutterbean

With the continual brewing cycle system, I brew my kombucha every Wednesday. Each brew yields 6-7 bottles depending how much juice I add in the batch. Pretty cool, huh?
