Baseball Mom Bag Essentials
In 2020, I started a Baseball Mom Bag Essentials post but then the pandemic happened and baseball season got all weird and complicated. I did make myself a list back then that I continually refer to:
It’s 2024 now (yikes) and soooooo many games later, this is what my list looks like!
I have had 4 years of handwriting practice since I made that first list.
I added some flair and questions!
There are three important questions you must ask yourself before packing a sports bag.
- how long will you be there? how many games are they playing?
- do they have bleachers? (bring a bleacher seat!) If they don’t have bleachers, then I make sure to pack my portable chair.
- what’s the weather situation? This IS KEY!
This is what’s in my big bag.
My Non- Negotiable Essentials:
- wallet- make sure to have some cash!
- insulated tumbler
- bag of tricks (see below)
- essentials kit (see below!)
- pen case
- sunglasses
- snack bag
- things to work on
I ALWAYS BRING a WATER BOTTLE!
(I added my Make Magic sticker to it)
This is the bag I carry with me if I have a larger bag. It’s my little essentials kit of little things I might need!
Things I Might Need:
- lip balm
- lipstick
- essential oils (I like to have a peppermint, eucalyptus or orange with me)
- hairbands
- sanitizer
- gum
- cough drops
- flossers
- nail clippers
- nail file
- advil
- tweezers
- eye drops
The essentials bag can fit into my Bag of Tricks! This is the main bag I bring that carries things for everyone in case they need it. They don’t have to rifle through MY essentials kit to get the things they need.
Bag of Tricks:
- bandana
- first aid kit
- wipes
- advil
- aquaphor
- sunscreen lotion
- sunscreen stick
- tissues
- rosewater spray
- hand sanitizer
- hand warmers
Things to work on:
- intentions for the week planner
- currently workbook
- headphones
- hobonichi cousin
- iPad Pro(I have made most of my workbooks on my iPad while at my son’s baseball tournaments. It’s how I am able to sit on the bleachers for 5+ hours).
- kindle (I only bring this if there’s a tournament)
- pen case
Weather Accessories:
- jacket (one that has a
- scarf
- straw hat
- visor
- beanie
- bandana (I will get it wet on hot days and put it around my neck)
- thermos (hot tea is nice on cold days)
- blanket (I always keep one in my car just in case)
- a towel (sometimes bleachers are wet)
- umbrella

I have learned that I cannot/should not wear coveralls or overalls to a game. No bueno!

Intentions for the Week- Week 16 in 2024
Our weekend started with a baseball game (we won!), and dinner out with friends. My oldest brother came over and spent the night. I made portobello mushroom burgers (vegan version for him!) and hosted Self-Check-In! I did a small meal prep since I had company. I’ll take a picture of it tomorrow.
It’s Sunday night and I wanna rest, so let’s make this quick!
