Buddha Bowls
Buddha Bowls? Grain Bowls? What do you call them?
What’s a Buddha Bowl/Grain Bowl, you ask? It’s a bowl of goodness that consists of a grain, protein, and an array of vegetables lined up in a beautiful arrangement. There’s usually a sauce or topping to go with it.
A Buddha Bowl is a perfect candidate for meal prep because it’s basically made of things prepped in advance. Everything is served cold so what could be better on a hot day??!
On nights when there’s baseball practice and I cannot wait until after 8 PM to eat, I’ll make Buddha Bowls for myself from whatever I’ve meal prepped that week. This is my favorite combo of flavors!

Hello, MONDAY!
We had a busy weekend here. Time at the baseball game, a sleepover, a bunch of gardening (I sorted through a ton of succulents!) and a ton of housework. Ugghh housework. It never ends. Cooper’s school is out this week and summer starts! This year went by pretty fast. He’s off to 8th grade! Time to figure out what’s up with his last week of school. Here are my Intentions for the Week:

We took Cooper and a friend to see the Red Sox/A’s game on Friday.
The Red Sox won and it was fireworks night!
Lucky me!
Lucky him! He caught a home run from J.D. Martinez during batting practice and Trevor Story handed him a ball at the end of the game.
He was beaming!
The lights and fog made things a little ethereal.

Goodbye, May. You were quite stressful but you made me thankful for good friends in my life so thank you for that. Crossed off some big things on my to-do list! That felt great. Stuff is growing in my garden in May! The flowers I have planted in the beds haven’t bloomed yet but soon they will. June is the time they start to shine.
