Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Make your own cranberry sauce! Tracy from Shutterbean shares her Homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe!

My Mom never made Homemade Cranberry Sauce. She did make a creamy cranberry jello salad (that I loved!) and at the last minute of every Thanksgiving, she opened up a can of jellied cranberry sauce to put on a fancy plate for her guests.

Make your own cranberry sauce! Tracy from Shutterbean shares her Homemade Cranberry Sauce recipe!

Every year I’ve had Thanksgiving without her, I’ve made my own cranberry sauce.  I use sprigs from her rosemary bush, as well as cinnamon sticks, and orange.  I love the way it makes my house smell. It really sets the tone for the holiday season! Plus, I have an affinity for the sound of fresh cranberries popping. It’s so satisfying!

Currently October 2021

Currently October 2021 from Currently 2021 Workbook by Tracy Benjamin of Shutterbean.com/The Handwriting Club

Currently October 2021

October was equally fun as it was stressful and overwhelming.  Going through the ups and downs with insurance and mammograms and biopsy, wiped me out emotionally.  On the bright side,  I was able to do a lot of art with friends, read a book, participated in a virtual book club. I also got a physical and bloodwork was done so HOORAY for not putting things off.

In October, I participated in a drawing challenge- #theydrawandcook

Currently October 2021 from Currently 2021 Workbook by Tracy Benjamin of Shutterbean.com/The Handwriting Club

31 days of food-related prompts!  I used part of the template from my monthly calendar (cut it out to make a grid!) and drew a small 1-inch square drawing every day. I LOVED IT!  It kept me thinking about all of the foods we eat this time of year.

It also reminded me how much I love making art a daily practice.

Intentions for the Week

Looking to get your head in the game? Tracy from Shutterbean makes a weekly TO DO LIST called her Intentions for the Week. Here's what this week looks like:

Intentions for the Week- Week 44  in 2021

Happy Monday, friends!

I’m super tired this morning from Halloween! Whew!   Us parents hung out in the neighborhood, passed out candy at a friend’s house and Cooper went off to another neighborhood to trick or treat with friends.  Too bad Halloween was on a Sunday! I got a late start to my Intentions for the Week as a result. But here we go!
