THIS IS 42! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes through social media this week.
Mama wanted a steak dinner and that’s what mama got.
I love how going to Marin Joe’s always feels like taking a trip back in time.
While cleaning out the fridge on Sunday, I found Greek yogurt in the back of the fridge that expired on my birthday (TODAY- August 18th!) and with the help of the blueberries that were screaming USE ME in my produce drawer, this Lemon Blueberry Cake was born.
Happy birthday to us, cake!
Why wait for a celebration to make/eat cake when you can let an expiration date inspire you?
I mean, I had to put that yogurt to good use, didn’t I?

We’re starting to get smokey skies here. It made the sunset so bizarre.
This nail polish is bringing me so much joy this week.
Breakfast rice is delicious.
I watched Roadrunner (Anthony Bourdain documentary) and craved ramen all week as a result.
The last of the sunflowers. I think I have one more arrangement to make before they’re gone.
The other day I posted a photo from this wonderful ice cream shop on our trip back east asking which flavor you’d pick and was kind of shocked by how many people said Coffee Oreo Ice Cream because I didn’t even SEE THAT FLAVOR. I was paralyzed by all of the choices!

I probably would have picked Coffee Oreo Ice cream if they let me try it! This whole COVID thing has ruined the ice cream sample game. *big sigh*
Do you know who loves both coffee ice cream and cookies and cream? COOPER! I figured we should celebrate the last week of Summer together at home with ice cream that everyone wanted to try.
MY FRIENDS, this recipe did not disappoint. My child gave me an unsolicited hug yesterday morning because I am awesome and make him Coffee Oreo Ice Cream just for fun! How awesome is that?!
